Scots Gaelic for: ‘small’.
I unearthed this delightful wee bowl in 2020 using small batch glazes and local Kenyan clay. I was working with a simple modern wheel in Nairobi, Kenya in a wonderful little studio called Tope on the outskirts of the city. A place of refuge from the bustle during a personal journey of learning to befriend and appreciate stillness.
Sometimes less truly is more. I choose to play with just two glazes which is unusual for me; the ultimate character is complex yet inviting.
Approximate measurements: 0.34lb // H:5cm // W:9cm
